CUPERTINO, CALIF. - Apple has unveiled HomeView, its first smart home display, alongside a new HomePod mini 2 and a fourth-generation Apple TV 4K at its “Welcome Home” event on October 13.
HomeView centres on a 7-inch Liquid Retina display mounted on a domed speaker base by a stainless steel hinge, powered by the A18 chip and the new Siri AI assistant. It recognizes up to six people by face, switching to each person’s own Home Screen, messages, calendar and reminders while keeping personal content private.
The tabletop model comes in silver, starlight, rose pink and space grey. A separate wall-mounted version in space grey and silver uses mounts from Schneider Home, sold separately from $59.95 US.
In Canada, HomeView is priced at $429. It is available for preorder now and goes on sale November 13 in Canada, the U.S., Australia, India, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa and the U.K. It is not sold in the European Union.
The HomePod mini 2 ($149 US) brings the S10 chip, a new Sound Glow LED ring and five colours: pink, green, blue, white and midnight. It goes on sale October 30.
The fourth-generation Apple TV 4K ($299 US) gets the A19 chip, hands-free Siri, support for pairing up to four HomePod speakers, and a redesigned Siri Remote with a built-in speaker and Find My support. It ships November 13.
Apple also announced the Apple Home Collection, smart home cameras, thermostats and a lock built with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric, starting from $39.95 US in December, with select accessories in early 2027.
With Diwali season approaching, the lineup lands in time for holiday smart-home gifting. Preorders are open now.
