Langley RCMP Ask Occupants of Two SUVs to Come Forward as Witnesses in Home Invasion Shooting

LANGLEY, B.C. - Langley RCMP are asking the drivers and occupants of two sport utility vehicles to contact investigators after a home invasion and shooting left one person in hospital. Police are clear about the role they believe the people in a white SUV and a grey SUV played: they are being sought as witnesses, not as suspects.

Witnesses, not suspects

Investigators believe the occupants may have seen something important in the 3000 block of 205th Street shortly after midnight on September 28, 2026. Police have released a CCTV still showing the witness vehicles in that block at 12:03 a.m.

“We are asking the driver and occupants of the white SUV and grey SUV to come forward and speak with investigators,” said Corporal Mansoor Sahak of the Langley RCMP. “We are also asking anyone who may recognize the two vehicles, or who has any information about it, to come forward. Their information could be essential in advancing the investigation.”

That distinction is central to the appeal. RCMP have not accused the SUV occupants of taking part in the home invasion or the shooting. They are asking them to help establish what happened and what occurred in the moments leading up to it.

One person taken to hospital

Langley RCMP responded just after 12:00 a.m. on September 28 to a shooting in the 3000 block of 205th Street. One person was taken to hospital with injuries sustained in the shooting. The release does not provide the person’s condition or further details about the injuries.

Police describe the incident as a home invasion. Their release does not say what was taken, whether anything was taken, or how many people investigators believe were directly involved in entering the home.

Serious Crime Unit canvassed for video

The Langley RCMP Serious Crime Unit launched an investigation to determine what happened leading up to the events. Officers canvassed the neighbourhood for video surveillance and located images of the white SUV and the grey SUV in the area.

Video from homes, businesses and passing vehicles can help investigators build a timeline even when it does not show the central incident. A vehicle entering or leaving the block, a person walking nearby, headlights turning at an intersection or activity captured a street away may all help investigators confirm times and movements.

Police are therefore asking anyone who was in the area of the 3000 block of 205th Street, witnessed the incident or has dash cam footage to call the Langley RCMP and quote file 2026-31003. The appeal centres on a narrow window just after midnight and a single block. Footage from shortly before or after the shooting may still help investigators place the vehicles and confirm the sequence of events.

The RCMP release did not publish a public telephone number for the appeal, so readers should use the Langley RCMP’s public non-emergency contact route rather than the media relations contact in the release.
