Correction (Oct. 26, 2026): An earlier version of this article said the Conservatives took seven of the region’s 12 ridings and the BC NDP held five. On the preliminary count, the Conservatives won five ridings outright and lead in two, and the BC NDP held three and leads in two; the headline and lede have been corrected.
