HCLTech has signed a Global Premier Partnership with Anthropic to accelerate enterprise adoption of agentic AI, the companies announced October 12.
Under the deal, HCLTech will establish a dedicated Anthropic Business Unit with a Center of Excellence to build agentic AI solutions and provide secure sandbox environments for enterprise deployments of Claude. The unit will help clients adopt AI-native engineering practices and train workforces to operate AI systems at scale.
HCLSoftware becomes an Anthropic independent software vendor partner, embedding Claude and Claude Code into select enterprise products including HCL BigFix and HCL AppScan for cybersecurity and automation, with what the companies describe as frontier safety guardrails.
HCLTech will also integrate Claude into its AI Force platform for IT support, code remediation and digital employee services, with policy guardrails and human oversight for high-impact changes.
The partnership targets safety, cybersecurity and governance as enterprises move AI agents into production. HCLTech is one of India’s largest IT services firms with a significant Canadian client base.
