UCLUELET, B.C. - Ucluelet RCMP are renewing their call for the public’s help to find Morgan Drew, who was reported missing from Campbell River more than a year ago and whose car was found at a trailhead near Ucluelet in October 2025.
In a news release issued Tuesday, October 27, 2026, Ucluelet RCMP said Drew remains missing and the investigation into his disappearance continues.
His car was found at the Lost Shoe Trail
Drew was reported missing on September 29, 2025 from Campbell River. His vehicle, a grey Volkswagen Golf, was located on October 10, 2025 at the trailhead for the Lost Shoe Trail, at Highway 4 and West Main Road in Ucluelet.
The trailhead sits along Highway 4, the only road into Ucluelet and Tofino on Vancouver Island’s west coast, and is a starting point for hikes toward the coast near Port Albion.

Searches have come up empty
Police said they have followed up on leads, and searches have been conducted using West Coast Inland Search and Rescue (WCI-SAR), the RCMP Police Service Dog service and drones. WCI-SAR is the volunteer ground search and rescue team that covers the Ucluelet and Tofino area. Those searches have been unsuccessful so far.
Drew was last seen wearing an olive-green military fatigue jacket, blue jeans and black shoes.
Police are asking again
