At Delview Park in Delta, a local food cart is bringing Indian chai, street-food favourites and familiar flavours to the Surrey–Delta community.

Chai Chai Indian Tea, located at 9098 116 St, Delta, BC, was recently featured in Apna News’s Business Spotlight series, which highlights local businesses, entrepreneurs and the people behind them.

Chai, bun makhan and Indian street-food flavours

For many people, chai is more than a drink. It is part of conversations, family gatherings, quick breaks and everyday life. Chai Chai builds on that familiar experience with Indian tea and street-food-inspired offerings.

One item featured during our visit was bun makhan, a simple combination closely associated with chai culture in India. The food cart gives longtime fans a taste of familiar flavours while inviting new customers to discover them.

The story behind the counter

Small businesses do not appear overnight. Behind every order are the decisions, ideas and work involved in turning a concept into something real. Our visit focused on the owner, the preparation and the community forming around the cart · not simply the product.
