At approximately 4:09 p.m. on November 2, 2026, SPS frontline officers responded to calls from Surrey Fire Services of a single-vehicle collision in the southbound lane of the 8300 block of 176 Street, where the vehicle had rolled over and one occupant had been ejected from the vehicle, Surrey Police Service said in a November 2, 2026, news release.

Officers arrived to find Surrey Fire Services firefighters and BC Emergency Health Services paramedics treating the driver and passenger, one of whom was ejected from the vehicle at the time of the crash, for multiple injuries. Both were transported to hospital by BC Emergency Health Services, with the driver reportedly in critical condition.

The investigation is in its early stages and the cause of the collision remains unknown, police said. The southbound curb lane will be closed while officers are on scene to collect evidence, and motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes, as other closures in the immediate area may be necessary depending on the size of the collision scene.

The crash closes part of one of Cloverdale’s busiest corridors at the start of the evening commute. 176 Street is Highway 15, the main north-south route through Cloverdale linking Highway 1 with the Pacific Highway border crossing, and it carries heavy commuter and commercial truck traffic through the 8300 block area, near 84 Avenue.

SPS is asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who has dashcam footage of it, to contact the Surrey Police Service non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 26-119038 (SP).
