On the morning of November 4, 2026, Cranbrook RCMP received a report of a stolen vehicle from the area of McPhee Road. The vehicle is a black 2006 Ford F-350 with British Columbia licence plate RR4744. Police released a photo of the truck, a dark crew-cab pickup shown loaded with hay bales and towing a trailer.

“If you see this truck, do not approach it,” said Cpl. Brett Urano, Media Relations Officer for the Cranbrook RCMP. “We ask that anyone who observes the vehicle contact police immediately and provide its location and direction of travel if safe to do so.”

Anyone who sees the vehicle is asked to call 911 immediately. Information can also be reported to the Cranbrook RCMP at 250-489-3471.

Cranbrook is the largest community in the East Kootenay, and Highway 3 runs through the city toward Alberta and the United States border, so a stolen vehicle can be out of the area quickly. A licence plate is the fastest way for the public to confirm a sighting: police ask residents to check for plate RR4744 before reporting a similar black truck.
