SURREY, B.C. – Surrey Police Service is investigating after shots were fired outside a residential complex in the 100 block of 175A Street in South Surrey on October 8.
Officers responded to the shots-fired call at approximately 6:51 p.m., police say. No one was injured. Police located the person believed to be the intended victim, who was not hurt, and there have been no reported injuries.
Two suspects described as men wearing dark clothing fled the area on foot, according to police. Officers searched with police dog services but did not locate them. It is unknown whether the suspects are connected to any vehicles.
Police say the incident appears to have been targeted, but there is no indication it is related to extortion. Investigators with the Integrated Forensic Identification Service were on scene overnight canvassing for witnesses and collecting evidence.
The investigation is open under file 2026-108223. Police have not announced any arrests and have not named any suspects beyond the clothing description.
SPS asks anyone with information or video from the area around 6:51 p.m. on October 8 to contact police. Apna News will update this story if arrests are made or charges are laid.
