SURREY, B.C. – The Surrey Police Service is appealing for additional victims to come forward after a 48-year-old Surrey landlord was charged with break and enter.
Balwinder Singh Bhandher was arrested on October 14 on a warrant after the BC Prosecution Service approved a Criminal Code charge of break and enter on October 1. He has been released from custody on conditions.
The investigation began in January 2026 when SPS’s Special Investigation Section started looking into allegations that Bhandher entered a tenant’s basement suite without permission and inappropriately touched the tenant’s clothing. The suite is in the 13800 block of 66 Avenue in Surrey.
SPS investigators are urging anyone who was a tenant of Bhandher, either at the 66 Avenue address or at a previous residence where he was the landlord, to contact police if they have information that could help the investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Surrey Police Service non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and quote file 26-5005 (SP).
This is a follow-up to Apna News’ October 15 report on Bhandher’s arrest. The investigation remains active and additional Criminal Code charges are possible.
The accused is presumed innocent. The charge has not been proven in court.
